On the evening of Oct 31, the Harmony Times Square in SIP glowed with lights and buzzed with excitement as the Singapore Fiesta themed “Hello Singapore” officially opened, showcasing Singapore’s vibrant culture and cuisine through food tastings, live performances, creative markets and interactive activities.

Sponsored by the Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China, the Singapore Fiesta is designed to tour seven cities including Chengdu, Shanghai, Suzhou and Shenzhen to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore.

The three-day event in SIP featured five themed zones replicating Singapore’s charm: Malay satay aromas from Kampong Glam, Indian henna art and saris from Serangoon Road, Peranakan beadwork and wedding scenes from Joo Chiat Road, VR tours of Gardens by the Bay, and robot interactions from One-North.

Singaporean food like nonya kuehs, laksa and curry puffs filled the air with fragrance.

A traditional Peranakan wedding show on the opening day captivated the spectators with its blend of heritage and modern flair.
