Zhang Yingying, CEO and CTO of So Tech, a startup introduced into SIP through the 2023 Suzhou Entrepreneurship Week for International Elites, is leading a revolution in mobile phone camera modules.

The startup was set up in SIP in April 2023, and completed its first round of fundraising in July in the same year. Thanks to the strong support from a number of talent programs at national, provincial, municipal and district levels, it has achieved a fast growth, with remarkable achievements in R&D of high-end wafer-level optical components and vision modules for consumer electronics, intelligent driving and embodied artificial intelligence.

The company’s solutions can help address the issue of protruding camera bumps which are adopted by even many top mobile phone brands in order to ensure excellent photography quality.

Leveraging the high index of refraction and high abbe coefficient of advanced optical glass materials, the company’s R&D team has managed to make lens modules extremely thin and light while achieving higher image resolution and more realistic picture reproduction. At the same time, their innovative optical designs and algorithms form perfect technical solutions that are driving a transformation of mobile imaging.
