Recently, a project of Japanese electronics conglomerate Panasonic went through the final acceptance review and registration procedures for construction projects in SIP, marking that it has gotten ready for operation.

Panasonic set up Panasonic Factory Solutions Suzhou Co Ltd (PFSS) in SIP in 2003 for R&D and manufacturing of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machines and solder paste printers. PFSS is the only Panasonic branch of its kind in China, ranking first globally for many consecutive years in terms of the market share of SMT machines.

The new facility, located in Yangchenghu Peninsula Tourist Resort, is expected to significantly expand the manufacturing capacity of PFSS. Five buildings including workshops and underground spaces will be put into use for production in early August.

PFSS recently gave a thank-you banner to SIP Administrative Examination and Approval Bureau and One-stop Service Center for their efficient services that have allowed the project to come into production about one week ahead of schedule.
