The Suzhou Industrial Park One-stop Service Centre for Expats recently organized two events in collaboration with Soochow University and the Renmin University of China Suzhou Campus, offering international students from the schools chances to experience Chinese tea culture.

The students visited Dongshan Tea Garden where they viewed exhibitions and toured around tea factory’s workshops to learn about the history and production process of Dongting Biluochun tea and the tradition of picking the green tea leaves around the Qingming Festival.

The students also picked and pan-fried tea leaves in person, and enjoyed tea together.

Moreover, the events were paired with a contest where the participating students were encouraged to create online content about the trips revolving around the theme “Chinese color”.
