Copeland Climate Technologies (Suzhou) Co Ltd, a branch of Detroit-based Copeland, a global leader in sustainable climate solutions, has been recognized as one of the 16th group of regional headquarters of multinationals in Jiangsu province recently. This marks a milestone in Copeland’s 26-year journey in China.

Starting as a compressors factory, this Suzhou site has evolved into a comprehensive innovation hub integrating R&D, production and marketing, with an annual production capacity exceeding 2.5 million units. It plays an important role in Copeland’s global manufacturing network.

To keep pace with the times, the Suzhou branch has employed advanced digital systems and automated equipment to boost efficiency and quality. Under SIP’s incentives, it established an R&D center that has become Copeland’s technology hub in the Asia-Pacific region.

Aligning with China’s carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, the company has integrated the green manufacturing concept into the whole process of its operation. Initiatives like waste heat recovery and solar power utilization have earned it recognition from both provincial and municipal governments as a green factory. It has also taken a series of measures to save energy, reduce emissions, and develop eco-friendly products.
