From December 31, 2017, Suzhou Symphony Orchestra (SZS) has spent every New Year’s Eve with its audiences. It sends greetings and best wishes to everyone through its music.

Chen Xieyang, conductor and music director of SZS, will lead this year’s New Year’s Eve Concert. Episodes of Tchaikovsky’s ballets “Swan Lake” and “The Nutcracker” will be performed, while dances staged by the artists from Suzhou Ballet Theatre.

Moreover, Tchaikovsky’s “Violin Concerto in D Major” will be performed, with the violin solo replaced by a performance with Shaoqin, a stringed bowed instrument.
