The two-day 2024 Global AI Product & Application Expo (AI Expo) is scheduled in SIP from Dec 10 to 11.

First held in SIP in 2018, the annual AI Expo is one of the most influential events for the AI sector in the country. It has attracted over 1,000 experts and scholars and more than 1,200 exhibitors with 50,000 products and solutions so far.

The 2024 edition of AI Expo, focused on large models, AIGC (AI-generated content), embodied AI and industrial AI, will consist of the opening ceremony, main forum, four AI-focused entrepreneurship contests, seven sub-forums, about 100 interactive AI products and solutions, an award ceremony, the launch of 20 new tech products, and information about 20 application scenarios. It is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors.

About 50 distinguished guests, including John Edward Hopcroft, an American computer scientist and co-winner of the 1986 A.M. Turing Award, and Mei Hong, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, will attend the event, together with nearly 300 industrial experts from home and abroad.

The 2nd Zu Chongzhi Award – Award for Cutting-edge AI Innovation program will be launched during the event to select at most one major achievement and five outstanding achievements in the AI sector.

Nearly 100 companies including Microsoft, Huawei and iFLYTEK will share their expertise and showcase their latest AI products and solutions.

Additionally, a signing ceremony for 24 “AI plus” projects will be held, and application scenarios for use of AI in varied fields will be announced.
